Temporary Exhibition Book Exchange

On May 12, for the celebration of International Museum Day 2019,  the event action "Museums: Nodes of Culture" was held at the Science and Technology Museum in collaboration with the Departments of Cultural Affairs of Primary and Secondary Education of Achaia. The event-action was held as a final event of the Cultural Networks "Giving life to the book" and "The Sciences through the Theater" with the Science and Technology Museum.

Interested students, teachers, parents and citizens had the opportunity to bring their books to the Science and Technology Museum:

• From 06/05/2019 - 10/05/2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or
• On 12/05/2019 from 04:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Each book had to be accompanied by a short description of up to 30 words (text, poem, riddle, etc.). This description could relate to the feelings and thoughts that the book evoked in the reader. For each book that someone offered, they received a card that certified their offer and could redeem it on the day of the final event.

2^nd Stage - Final event for International Museum Day:

On May 12 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. All those interested could still deposit their books for exchange along with the short description. The books were being wrapped and their titles remained hidden. The only evidence for them was the brief description by their owners. All books will be displayed on the museum counters by age group. The final event will take place from 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on the same day. Those who had a book delivery card could choose and pick up a new book by giving the card from 7:00 p.m. - 9: 30p.m.
