The STM’s current thematic exhibition is titled, "Telecommunications in our lives", which shows the characteristics of telecommunications and their development in three themes:
1. Historical development of Telecommunications, which includes:
- Ancient Telecommunications,
- The Telecommunications chronology from mid 17th century until today,
- Screening of scenes from Greek and foreign cinema, using the telephone,
- Interactive Application for the History of Telecommunications,
- Interactive Application for ancient means of Telecommunications.
2. Basic Physics principles which formed the basis for the development of telecommunications, including demonstrations of experiments on the following topics listed below:
Electromagnetism
- Induction Experiments,
- Oersted Experiment,
- Diversion of an electron beam using a magnet,
- Diversion of a current-carrying conductor by means of a magnetic field.
Waves - Optics
- Creation of waves in a water tank,
- Laser Optics: Reflection - Refraction,
- Oscillation of Synthesis: Lissajous Figures, Beats, Amplitude and Frequency Modulation,
- A Short Range Optical Communication System.
Acoustics
- Sound production,
- Sound propagation,
- Sound features,
- Sound phenomena.
Electronics
- Electronic data,

3. Old and modern telecommunications, including museum, photographic, audiovisual and interactive material and information on:

- Different types of Telephone Exchange units, and a demonstration of the operation of the Telephone Exchange unit ATZ-65,
