ACTION DAY "What if it was you? - Global Village"

The Science and Technology Museum of the University of Patras, the Panhellenic Network for Theater in Education, the Department of Health Education of Primary Education of Achaia and AIESEC of the University of Patras co-organized the Day of Action on Thursday, February 13, 2020. There were 190 students from the Primary Schools of Achaia,1^st of  Akratas, 8^th, 24^th, and the 41^st of Patras who participated with their teachers.

AIESEC is the largest World Student Organization and is present in 131 countries. Its vision is to achieve peace and maximize human potential. The educational program "What if it was you?" is a program for raising awareness of teachers and students on human rights and refugee issues implemented by the Panhellenic Network for Theater in Education and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. It is based on experiential activities, theater techniques and educational drama.

Having the opportunity of hosting foreign volunteers in Patras by AIESEC and in the framework of the cooperation of the Science and Technology Museum with AIESEC, as well as the AIESEC Volunteering Program "Global Volunteer" has given us the opportunity to meet people of different cultures, the communication between them, the promotion of human resources as they arise through the issue of refugees and the exchange of good practice.

The aim of the event was for the students:

1) to approach issues of diversity

2) to get in touch with young people from different parts of the world

3) to participate in experiential workshops
