European Museum Night Final Event of the Thematic Cultural Network for Volunteering

On Saturday, May 12, 2012, the Science and Technology Museum of the University of Patras hosted the first event of the series of Celebrations of the International Museum Day and the European Museum Night. The event for the Celebration of the European Museum Night, in the context of the "Cultural events 2012" of the University of Patras was the opening of the exhibition "Science and Technology Museum: A Modern Museum in a changing world: 3 Years of Alternative Operation".

In the context of the event, the schools: 1^st High School Patras, Model Experimental High School of Patras, 7^th Junior High School of Patras, and Junior High Schools of Arsakeio and  Kastritsi that participated in the "Network of schools for volunteering centered on the STM UP 2011" presented their activities for the academic school year 2011-2012.

The event ended with the concert "NOCHES DE BUENOS AIRES" by A Companhia Artistica consisting of Maria Nikolopoulou (Pianist) -Artistic Director of the Philippos Nakas Conservatory (Patra), Rania Kavvadia (Flute), Efi Kallinou,  (Violin) and Poly Nikolopoulou, soprano and participation of Sofia Tsiknia, soprano.

The concert referred to the history and evolution of the golden age of Tango and offered the audience music, song and a spectacle through screening on the cinema screen of the Museum's auditorium, a tribute and choreography from Argentina.
