Science & Technology Museum, University of Patras Campus, Greece
Paper boats are small constructions made of paper often considered a traditional game in many cultures. In Greece, in particular, they are associated with childhood and folk tradition. Playing with paper boats usually takes place near rivers, streams, or even at the sea, where children make the boats and set them afloat.
The paper boats, created by the students, are exhibited in the museum’s periodic exhibition as part of the Cultural Program of School Networks entitled: "Traditional Game – discover, play, create."
The students used simple A4 sheets and, with the art of paper folding, created the boats. They then colored them with markers and colored pencils.
