Training Days: "Science and Technology Museum of the UP: Experiential Approach to Telecommunications in Preschool"

The Science and Technology Museum of the University of Patras in collaboration with the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of the Prefecture of Achaia – 6^th and 64^th District of Preschool Education organized three TRAINING DAYS WORKSHOPS entitled "Science and Technology Museum of the UP: Experiential Approach to Telecommunications in Preschool", on November 22,23,25,  2011, from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

The aim of the Conferences was on the one hand to acquaint teachers and students with "The journey of the voice", the new educational program offered by the Science and Technology Museum for the preschool age, on the other hand, to understand the importance of museum education in preschool age. The workshops were addressed to pre-school teachers, as well as to the students of the Department of Educational Sciences & Early Childhood Education and the Department of Museology, Museography & Exhibition Design at ATEI Patras.

At the first event were greeted by: G.Panagiotakis, Professor, Rector of the UP, E.Vitoratos, Professor, Director of the STM of UP, G.Panagiotopoulos, Regional Director of primary and secondary education of Western Greece, C.Voinescu, Advisor of Preschool Education of the Prefecture of Achaia, P.Tsampazi, Advisor of Preschool Education of the Prefecture of Achaia, N.Stellakis, Lecturer, Representative of the Department of Educational Sciences & Early Childhood Education of the UP.

The three Workshops had the same program and their speakers: P.Theologi-Gouti, Architect Mech-Ethnologist, Curator of the STM UP "Science and Technology Museum: Development and Objectives", D.Alexiou, MA Cultural Manager, Teaching Department of Museum, Museum & Exhibition Design at ATEI Patras "Educating people to be trained", C.Voinescu, Advisor of the Preschool Education of the Prefecture of Achaia "The Kindergarten in the Museum, Yesterday-Today-Tomorrow", M.Kostourou "The journey of the voice".

In continuation, a video was presented with scenes from the educational program "The journey of the voice" and a discussion followed.

The training sessions were completed with a tour of the Museum.
