"Water, Health, and Environment"

A program that is aimed at raising awareness about the importance of water for health and the environment and its role in sustainable development through hands-on activities.

The proposed program, "Water, Health, and Environment,"  is designed to make scientific knowledge accessible and to increase awareness of water’s role in promoting health, environmental balance, and sustainable development. It emphasizes recognizing water as the source of life and the essential component of the environment, crucial for health, well-being, and sustainable progress.

Drawing on the extensive experience of the Science and Technology Museum, the program aims to equip primary school educators with the resources to engage with this topic and use it as an educational tool. It offers techniques and methods to help teachers design classroom activities for their students.

The program has two main goals:

  1. To equip primary educators with the skills and resources to engage with the subject, utilize the Science and Technology Museum as a teaching tool, and learn techniques that support planning meaningful activities with their students.
  2. To guide students in discovering water’s properties, its importance for humans and all life forms, and its role in environmental health, societal well-being, and sustainable development. Students will learn about everyone’s right to access safe drinking water, understand principles for its proper use, and explore ways to reduce waste, contributing to global health, prosperity, and ecological balance.
