Cultural School Network “STEAM: Science and Technology through Art”

The School Network entitled “STEAM: Science and Technology through Art” is organized by the Primary Education Directorate of Achaia / Cultural Affairs, through the Head of Cultural Affairs, in collaboration with the Secondary Education Directorate of Achaia / Cultural Affairs, the Science and Technology Museum of the University of Patras, and the Visual Artists’ Association of Patras.

The aim of the Network is the popularization of science and the use of alternative means and methods—such as Art—for its understanding. Through this particular school network, teachers and students will be able to approach certain fields of Science and Technology, attempting to understand them through workshops as well as through the Arts.

Throughout the course of the activities, skills of collaboration and creativity will be strengthened, promoting quality and inclusive education. The deliverable of the program will be at least one project (chosen by the teacher with their student group) that represents a concept, process, experiment, etc., from one of the fields that have been defined.
