Temporary Exhibition "Geotechnics 2"
Science & Technology Museum, University of Patras Campus, Greece
As part of the celebration of the International Museum Day 2011 on "Museums and Memory", the Science and Technology Museum and the Department of Geology of the University of Patras and the Department of Geology and Geoenvironment of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) organized a Geological Photography exhibition entitled "Geotechnics2", from May 18 until November 18, 2011, considering that the photograph is eminently a carrier of memory.
The exhibition was originally designed and implemented by a team of graduates of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program in Museology of the University of Athens in collaboration with the Department of Geology of the University of Athens, for the celebration of the 40 years of the Department. In the implementation of the Patras exhibition, they also collaborated with the Department of Geology of the University of Patras.
In the context of the exhibition, educational programs were implemented for all levels of education.
