The Science and Technology Museum, in collaboration with the French Institute of Patras, is organizing a temporary exhibition at the Science and Technology Museum, from February 24 to May 8,2026.
The ocean covers three quarters of our planet and hosted the first forms of life on Earth. This apparent vastness long led us to believe that we could dump and take everything from it without real consequences. Today, it is urgent to conserve and protect our resources and to use the sea in a fair and sustainable way.
Through 11 posters, the exhibition presents the problems caused by plastics accumulating in the sea and proposes solutions for its fair and sustainable use. The exhibition is enriched with educational material from the Science and Technology Museum and departments of the University of Patras.
Educational programs have been designed and are offered by the Museum, by appointment, for Primary and Secondary Education.
The exhibition is an initiative of the Foundation Tara Ocean.
