A temporary exhibition titled "Water at the Heart of Science" is being organized by the Science and Technology Museum of the University of Patras and the French Institute of Greece in Patras. It will begin on Monday, February 24, and conclude on May 9, 2025. The exhibition's opening ceremony will take place as part of a special event titled "All Together for Water and Water for All" on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 18:30, at the Science and Technology Museum, within the framework of the Francophonie Celebration.

The exhibition was designed and implemented by the Department of Scientific and Technological Culture of the Research Institute for Development (IRD).The design of the interactive sections was carried out by the Regional Center for the Promotion of Scientific, Technological, and Industrial Culture, Centre-Sciences, and it is hosted at the Science and Technology Museum with the support of the French Institute of Greece.

During the previous academic year, it was hosted at the French Institute of Greece in Athens as part of the Science Festival.

The exhibition places water at the heart of science, presenting key issues related to access, management, fair distribution, pollution, and the search for new resources, while highlighting the role of science in addressing these challenges.

As part of the Temporary Exhibition, the Science and Technology Museum offers specially designed educational activities for all levels of education, by appointment.

Participation in the Museum’s Educational Activities is free of charge. Each activity is conducted with one school class at a time and has a duration of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. The starting times for the educational programs are 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
