Celebration of the International Museum Day 2024 at UP STM "Museums for research and education" Event: A tool for research and education on water" Awarding schools in the Local Photography Competition "Capturing my local water systems".

At the award ceremony of the Local Photography Competition "Capturing the Water Systems of my country" held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the Science and Technology Museum of the University of Patras, in the framework of the celebration of the International Museum Day "Museums for Research and Education", the schools that excelled in the Competition were awarded. The event was co-organized by the Science and Technology Museum, the Region of Western Greece and the Directorates of Primary and Secondary Education of Achaia - Environmental Education.

Students of all educational levels from Achaia participated in the competition. Members of the Judging Committee of the submitted photographs were:

The event was opened by the Choir of the 10^th Primary School of Patras, conducted by Angelos Papangelopoulos, musician.

The Director of the STM, Professor Ioannis Iliopoulos, and the Dean of the School of Natural Sciences of the University of Patras, Professor George Papatheodorou, greeted the students. Then Eleni Antonakopoulou and Ioanna Papaioannou, Head of the Environmental Education of Primary and Secondary Education of Achaia presented the entries in the Competition and Peny Theologi-Gouti presented the awards.

The event closed with the presentation of the awards and refreshments.
