A framework event of the European Music Day with the theme "Traveling with Music" took place with great success on Sunday afternoon, June 26, at the Science and Technology Museum (STM) of the University of Patras. The event was co-organized by the Science and Technology Museum (STM) of the University of Patras and the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Western Greece.

The event started with a greeting from the Director of the STM, Professor Evangelos Vitoratos. Interesting speeches were heard by the Head of Scientific and Pedagogical Guidance for Secondary Education of the Regional Directorate of Education in Western Greece, Ms. Sophia Christopoulou, entitled "Connection of Music and Mathematics in Antiquity" and by the Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the UP, Ioannis Mourjopoulos, entitled "Electronic Music: Evolution and Perspective".

The event culminated with a concert by the talented musicians of the newly formed Choir of Music Teachers of Primary and Secondary Education of Achaia who presented well-known Greek and foreign songs. Responsible for the Choir is the Music Consultant Ms. Kostoula Sakka-Kyritsi. The musicians participating in the Choir were as follows: Angelopoulou Kalliopi, Verra Evanthia, Daskalopoulos Panagiotis, Dimitrouka Theodora, Douvri Archonto, Kieka Lina, Kotsopoulou Alexandra, Mantas Angelos, Mintilogliti Ioanna,  Michaliou Matina, Michaliou Sofia, Pantelis Vassilios, Papagelopoulos Angelos, Papagelopoulou Venetia, Plakouda Katerina,  Savvopoulou Vasso, Savvopoulou Maria, Spyridon Penny, Filippatou Maria and Chatziantoniou Panagiotis. Maria Nikolopoulou accompanied the choir on piano, on mandolin by Dimitra Apsomotou and on double bass by Haris Pegiazis. The successful Concert gave a very festive atmosphere to the event.

In the end, visitors had the opportunity to tour the premises of the STM and see up close its permanent and temporary exhibitions.
