The event, "Preventing Climate Change" was held with great success on Sunday, April 3, at the Science and Technology Museum (STM) of the University of Patras.

The event was organized by the Science and Technology Museum (STM) of the University of Patras and the French Institute of Patras in the context of World Earth Day and World Francophonie Day, as the main event of the exhibition "Observing the climate from our window".

The rich program of the event was opened by students of the French Institute of Patras who spoke about climate change, presenting in French and Greek the work they prepared in the context of their courses.

Interesting speeches related to climate change were heard by Athanasios Argyriou, Professor, Department of Physics "Climate change: what we know today", George Papatheodorou, Professor, President of the Department of Geology "Climate Change and the Sea", Hrissi Karapanagioti, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, "Green Chemistry Cures the Sources of Climate Change". The speakers presented in a very vivid way the current situation and the problems caused by climate change but also ways that we can use to prevent climate change.

The event culminated with the kind-offering concert by the Children's Choir Antiho. They performed songs not only in Greek but also in French and other languages ​​in an exceptional way.

In the end, visitors had the opportunity to tour the premises of the STM and see up close its permanent and temporary exhibitions.

This was followed by a small reception and guided tours of the permanent and temporary exhibition of the STM.
