Science & Technology Museum, University of Patras Campus, Greece
With great success the event, entitled "Science and Sports" took place on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. It was the main event and the opening of the exhibition of the same title theme that took place at the Science and Technology Museum of the UP, from March 4 to April 26, 2013. The exhibition presented examples of research conducted in France in the field of sports in relation to a number of sciences. It was designed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Center for Scientific, Technical and Industrial Culture in collaboration with Research Laboratories of France and was enriched by the STM with supporting material.
At the end of the event, certificates of attendance were given.
Speakers at the event were: Nikos Sideris, Psychiatrist, Psychoanalyst "Sports and mental structure of the moral subject", Panagiotis Megas, Professor, School of Medicine of the UP, member of the Board of Directors of Sports "Sports Injuries. Prevention and Treatment", Konstantinos Bountolos, Professor of Sports Industry & Elissavet Rousanoglou, Assistant Professor of Sports Biomechanics, Department of Physical Education & Sport Science, National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, "Aristotelian Thought in the Study of Human Movement" (via Skype), Spilios Zervos, Deputy Managing Director of N. Maniatopoulos SA, "The Technological evolution of the bicycle and its role in modern society".
A discussion followed and the event closed with a tour of the STM and the temporary exhibition along with a small reception.
