Museum Night: Tours, Music Events, Observations of the Sky

The event to celebrate the European Museum Night took place on May 17, 2010, from 7:00-11:30 p.m., as one of the accompanying events of the opening of the Museum and in the context of the International Museum Day 2010, with the theme "Museums for Social Harmony", the World Telecommunication Day 2010 and Museum Night 2010.

The event included Concerts by:

1.TrioLalum-Classical Ensemble consisting of three students of the University of Patras who also study music: Myrsini Christodoulopoulou - Violin, Gabriel Kamaris - Cello, Aris Bertzouanis - Piano

2. Wind Ensembles of the Municipal Conservatory of Rio - Music Department of Rio, in which students of the Schools participated:

  • Clarinet & Saxophone under the tutelage of George Bourdopoulos
  • Trumpet under the tutelage of George Babarakos
  • Flute under the tutelage of Kleoniki Bartzela

 3. Ensemble of the Music School of Patras, of the only Public Music School in the Prefecture of Achaia, in which participated: Stamatis Lekkas (Piano), Amarantou Kyriakoula (Mandolin), Amasiadis Maria (Mandolin), Pasvantidis Sofiα (Mandolin), Apsomotou Dimitra (Mandolin),  Tsailakis Christos (Guitar), Pegiazis Haris (Bass), Krimpa Despina (Song)

4. Papertigerr a full 5-member student rock-electronic music band, consisting of: Alexandros - Guitar / Programming, Alki - Keyboard / Programming, Vassilis - Guitar / Voice / Programming, Niko-Bass, Alexandros - Drums

At the same time:

  • Group tours at the STM and

    • Observations of Uranus with the Astronomical Society of Orion, a non-profit association, aimed at popularizing and disseminating astronomy, astrophysics, and space science.
