Every year on November 18, European Universities are invited to celebrate the European Academic Heritage Day, highlighting their common academic heritage and being more open to different types of audiences or organizing various public awareness events.
The European Academic Heritage Day was established by the European Network of tangible and Intangible Academic Heritage - Universeum, with the consent of the Council of Europe. November 18 was designated as the day of the celebration. The aim of the celebration is to raise public awareness about the importance of academic heritage.
On the occasion of the celebration of the European Academic Heritage Day, the Science and Technology Museum of the University of Patras, opened to the public on Friday, November 18, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Students, faculty members and the public had the opportunity to be guided by the staff and volunteers of the Museum in the permanent exhibition "Telecommunications in our lives" and in the temporary exhibition "Geoart2".
