Experiential seminar "Science through the Pedagogy of Theater"

On Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at 5:30 p.m. an Experiential Seminar on "Science through the Pedagogy of Theater" was held at the Science and Technology Museum of the University of Patras.

The event was co-organized by the Science and Technology Museum of the University of Patras and the Departments of Cultural Affairs of the Directorates of Primary and Secondary Education of Achaia. The seminar was aimed at teachers of Primary and Secondary Education in Achaia.

The first part of the event included an introduction by Fryni Kostara, Ph.D., Philologist, Head of the Department of Cultural Affairs of Achaia with the theme "Learning Science through Theater", and a presentation of museum objects and physics experiments at the STM which was the topic of the experiential seminar, by Peny Theologi-Gouti, Architect Mech., Ethnologist, MSc, Curator of the STM and Yiannis Stais, Physicist, and a Volunteer at the STM.

In continuation followed the Experiential workshops in groups of teachers by Vasiliki Mantzouratou, Kindergarten Teacher, MSc in Education, Head of the Department of Cultural Affairs of Primary Education in Achaia and Adriana Tavantzi, Educator, Theatrical Play Animator who explored with the teacher's proposals for the use of museum objects through the Pedagogy of Theater. In the end, the groups presented their proposals.
