The Science and Technology Museum (STM) of the University of Patras, in collaboration with the Office of School Counselors branch PE4, of the Directorate of Secondary Education of the Prefecture of Achaia organized a Training Day for teachers of Secondary Education with the theme: "Contemporary Achievements and Perspectives in Electronics and Telecommunications in the 21st Century" on Friday, February 5, 2010, from 9:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
The event was held as a parallel activity of the exhibition 'Telecommunications in our lives' that operates in the area of the STM. Its goal is for the science teachers of the Secondary Education of the Prefecture of Achaia, on the one hand, to get acquainted with the STM and the Educational Programs carried out in it, on the other hand, to be informed by faculty members of the University of Patras about the Contemporary Achievements and Perspectives in the fields of Electronics and Telecommunications.
Initially, the participants were guided to the permanent exhibition of the STM in groups. In continuation, the event was opened by the Rector of the University of Patras S.Koumbias, Professor and greeted by A.Zelilidis, Professor, Dean of the School of Natural Sciences and acting Director of the STM of the University of Patras, D.Zomenos, Director of Secondary Education of Achaia, E.Pierri, School Counselor of Achaia.
