The event on “Stuck on the Internet? Never!” took place at the Science and Technology Museum on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event was organized in the framework of the Health Education Network of Primary Education Schools of Achaia “Stuck on the Internet? Never!” with the Museum. It was co-organized by the Science and Technology Museum, and the Department of Health Education of Primary Schools of Achaia.
The Primary schools that participated are the 2nd Elementary School of Akrata and the 16th, 18th, 21st, 25th, 44th, 47th, 49th Elementary Schools of Patras.
During the event, the students learned through presentation and discussion the reasons why a child can spend many hours online, the symptoms that overuse can cause, as well as the dangers that lurk. The students were then divided into groups to take part in the experiential workshops, whereby with the contribution of art (collage, theater, illustrated story, pantomime and riddles) they could formulate their own rules in order to acquire critical thinking, prioritizing their daily routine and avoiding addiction.
