From ancient times, when humans wanted to express themselves and communicate with others
they created sounds, using their own body, or by employing various materials from their environment.
Musical instruments were used to transmit messages from antiquity to the present day.
One of the materials used from the environment is the conch sea shell, which is one of the most ancient musical instruments.
In ancient Greece, the conch was used as a trumpet for ceremonial and war purposes. References to it exist in texts of Greek mythology and literature.
