Apple released the 1st generation iPod Shuffle in 2005. It was the first iPod without a screen. It had a capacity of 512MB and could store approximately 120 songs, while the built-in USB connection allowed for easy file transfer via iTunes. It featured a simple control system with playback and volume buttons. Weighing just 22 grams, it had a battery life of 12 hours and was available in white.
You could listen to songs using wired headphones connected to its 3.5mm headphone jack. It was easy to use and particularly popular, especially for those who wanted a lightweight MP3 player for workouts or everyday use.
