The ATZ-65 Call Centers were manufactured by the company RFT, in the former East Germany (DEUTSCHE DEMOKRATISCHE REPUBLIK).

Each ATZ-65 Call Center was a telecommunication unit of scepter technique. It relied mainly on the use of relays. It served the requirements of telephony for excellent quality of Urban, Long distance and International Networks.

An ATZ-65 Call Center could support one of the following technologies. On:
          • Pacemaking Technology, which usually served the central web of cities and
          • Central Control Technology that served the regional needs.

It had the capability to support from 200 to 10,000 telephones. It could connect to other independent telephone exchanges and serve any number of telephone connections required.
The present ATZ-65 Call Center was located in the building of the Schools of OTE (above St. Georges Square of Patras) and served the educational needs of OTE. This was mainly the training of OTE technical staff, specializing in "facilities", who served in the Peloponnese, Central Greece, Epirus, Ionian Islands, and other parts of Greece.
As a training center, it included both technologies (pacemaking and central control) in operation, as well as units of all its own internal technical development and units, which were built based on studies by Greek technicians.
