The Curator of the Museum, Mrs. Peny Theologi-Gouti, architect engineer-ethnologist, was selected by the ICOM International Council of Museums, as a member of the ICOM Resolution Committee, following a proposal by the Greek Department of ICOM. The aim of the above Committee is to define the directions of the actions and the mission of the Museums for the next three years.

The International Council of Museums is an international organization of museums and museum professionals which is committed to the research, conservation, continuation and communication to society of the world’s natural and cultural heritage, present and future, tangible and intangible.

ICOM has 44,686 members from 138 countries and operates 118 national committees and 32 international committees.

It is the first time that a member from Greece participates in the ICOM Resolutions Committee and it is a special honor and distinction for the country and the University of Patras.
