A temporary exhibition entitled “Discovering the French car through the collections of the National Motor Museum of Mulhouse in France” is organized by the University of Patras Science and Technology Museum and the French Institute of Greece in Patras.
The exhibition starts on Monday, March 6, and will end on December 31, 2023, at the Science and Technology Museum. The opening of the exhibition will take place on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 6:30 p.m., at the Science and Technology Museum, as part of the Francophonie Celebration, in the presence of the French Language Advisor of the French Embassy.
The exhibition is based on material provided by the National Motor Museum of Mulhouse. Through 15 posters that present the history of the French car, unfold the secrets of its development and its important moments and inform us about motorsports, how the car relates to its era, what affects its design, as well as energy issues that they have been involved in the manufacturing of the car from the first cars until today.
The exhibition is enriched with material offered by the Production and Automation Systems Laboratory of the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering of the University of Patras and private individuals, as well as the demonstration of experiments.
Throughout the temporary exhibition, educational programs are planned for groups of Primary and Secondary Education students. Participation in STM Educational Activities is free. Each Educational program can be implemented with 1 school class. The duration of the program is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. The starting times of the programs are 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
