With the Conference "Music-Sound-Physics", on Saturday, May 3, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. the Science and Technology Museum (STM) of the University of Patras inaugurated the exhibition "On the Horizons of Physics" in the context of the "International Noise Awareness Day" & "Celebrating International Museum Day". The Conference is co-organized with the Directorate of Secondary Education of the Prefecture of Achaia, Laboratory Centers of Natural Sciences, Achaia & Department of Cultural Affairs and the French Institute of Patras.

Speeches were heard by Evangelos Vitoratos, Professor, Department of Physics, Director of the STM, UP. "Music through Physics", Ioannis Mourtzopoulos, Professor, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, UP, "Sound in Space" and Dimitrios Skarlatos, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics, UP, "Noise pollution. An insidious pollutant".

This was followed by a concert with the remarkable guitarist Dimitris Makris with the participation of his students, courtesy of the Philippos Nakas Conservatory and ended with guided tours in the temporary exhibition "The Horizons of Physics" & the permanent exhibition of the STM.
