Announcement of the Panhellenic Competition of "Inspiring, Creating, Innovating"

The Science and Technology Museum (STM) of the University of Patras in collaboration with the:

Department of Cultural Affairs of Primary Education of Achaia

Department of Cultural Affairs of Secondary Education of Achaia

Patras Visual Artists Association

and with the support of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs  announces a Panhellenic Competition  with the Theme:

"Inspiring, Creating, Innovating"

Student groups of Primary and Secondary Education are invited to:

• Be inspired by a great inventor or invention in the field of Physics or Technology
• Create an innovative 3 Dimensional model using preferably useless and/or recyclable materials
• Submit their proposal by February 26, 2021.

The innovative 3 Dimensional models that will be submitted may address issues related to the field of Science and Technology. Indicatively, the following thematic axes are proposed: physics, mechanics, electrical engineering, computer science, architecture.

The aim of the Competition is to introduce young children to the world of science and get inspired by great inventors in order to create their own scientific models. The material that will be collected can be an important educational collection, which will capture the vision of young children as well as the evolution of science and technology over the centuries. This collection will be a proposal for the future, coming from the past.
