We are pleased to announce the publication of the article “Geology in Everyday Life”: Designing Museum Educational Programs with Students of Geology in the Science and Technology Museum of the University of Patras, Greece in the Materials Proceedings Volume 5 ICRMCE 2021.
It concerns an article presented at the International Conference on Raw Materials and Circular Economy organized in Athens, on September 5-7, 2021.
It presents the Pedagogical Competency Program of the Science and Technology Museum for students of the Department of Geology of the University of Patras. The article emphasizes the Museum's experimental approach to designing educational activities involving students. Through this activity, the Museum succeeded on the one hand in developing a new program for schools using participatory design and on the other hand offering students a pedagogical experience through innovative non-formal education, new ways of approaching students of all levels, cultivating their abilities and enhancing their knowledge by familiarizing them in understanding science.
