A Volunteer = An Active Citizen

On Sunday, December 7th, 2025, at 18:30, the Museum of Science and Technology of the University of Patras (MST) and the Friends of MST Association are organizing in the Museum’s venue the event “Volunteer = Active Citizen.”

The event will begin in a festive atmosphere with the choirs of the 41st and 13th Primary Schools of Patras under the direction of the musician Mrs. Venetia Papangelopoulou.
At the event, the ladies Konstantina Magglara and Foteini Krili, Social Workers, Volunteers of the Volunteer Team of the Kallipolis Center “Diexodos” of Aigio, on behalf of the honored volunteer organization, the Volunteer Teams of the Kallipolis Center, will speak, on the topic: “Volunteering in the prevention of addictions: A lever of personal & social changes for Well-Being.”
This will be followed by a presentation by the Director of the MST of innovative actions that the MST is planning, for the implementation of which it is seeking sponsors.

Next, honorary certificates will be awarded to the volunteers, the collaborators and the sponsors of the Museum, as well as to the schools which collaborated with the MST, within the framework of networks and competitions, during the academic year 2024–2025.

After the end of the event, the public will have the opportunity to tour the premises of the MST and to visit its permanent and temporary exhibitions, while a small reception will follow.
